Where do you get different colored silicone for decoden?

@Anonymous

You can make your own color by mixing food coloring or acrylic paint (just a little bit) with clear or white silicone. It just takes a bit longer to dry.

For that person about the Samsung galaxy s3 Case and other people, I wouldn't suggest getting a cheap case for a 650$ phone. I invested in a 50$ case and it lowers the risk of paying expensive repairs :]

@lifecaptivates

Thanks so much for the suggestion!! :)

edit: I wanted to clarify, when I say “cheap” cases I don’t necessarily mean low quality. For the android phones/samsungs etc etc they are all pretty nice. The cases I purchase for these phones retail for about $30, so what I meant by “cheap” was wholesale. ebay sells everything at a much better price (if you look for it), it doesn’t necessarily mean the quality is bad or better, but since there are international suppliers they offer whole sale prices so that you can afford the case & the deco. I bet even your fancy $50 case could be found on ebay new for under $20. :)

do ya'll know how to make those "cameos" i think is what it's called. those circular charms with pictures in it? please & thanks

@Anonymous

Ticia here! I actually learned how to make those (I sell them in my shop etsy.com/shop/decoutureboutique) by watching youtube videos. Just look for resin photo pendants. We don’t like giving all of our secrets away, ya know ;)

You say not to use DAP Alex Plus. I'm from the UK can you recommend a brand I can buy here?

@Anonymous

We can’t answer this enough… we will always have the same advice! Haha :) 100% silicone! ANY brand is fine, as long as it’s 100% silicone! I believe Danielle will be able to answer this better since she’s from the UK, but just visit your hardware store and buy 100% silicone. Not acrylic, not anything but silicone. Brilliant white.

Hello! I've just started on deco, LOVE IT, and want to play around with it some more. I saw a previous ask about different colors of silicone and was wondering where to find more info about colors and brands?

@yossdillo

to color silicone you just add acrylic paint to 100% silicone. be very careful if you’re just starting out, too much paint will ruin the silicone and it will take ages to cure &/or peel right off. you only wanna use a couple drops of paint at MOST, the colors will still be vibrant, acrylic paint spreads really well, use a plastic cup and disposable utensil (like a spoon or fork or chop stick) to mix it up then scoop into a piping bag!

Any 100% silicone will due just fine :3 xo

do you know anyone that sells hot fix studs in wholesale lots?

@Anonymous

Here are some links I found after googling this:

http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale/wholesale-rhinestone-studs-hot-fix-transfers.html

http://www.alibaba.com/showroom/wholesale-hotfix-metal-studs.html

http://www.sweetstrass.com/zclass_58_584_678.html

http://www.hotfixcrystals.com/files/rhinestud.htm

I would suggest making sure that these websites are legitimate and trustworthy before purchasing, but if anyone knows of any dependable sellers please message us with suggestions!

how do u make reisin so sparkley? like those glittery hello kitty bows? :(

@Anonymous

Ticia here, again :)

I’m guessing they mix the glitter into the resin in layers, but you can buy those from Etsy suppliers already made at good prices.

Here are my top fave suppliers:

@Anonymous

Ticia here! I always recommend Etsy, just because I love supporting independent businesses, but you can always try searching through amazon or eBay as well.

Here are a bunch of them just from searching Etsy:
